Finally the end of the week is here.

Its Friday, in an hour I will be going to see the Dr about my shoulder, the cortisone shot she gave me did nothing for me. So hopefully the MRI will show what is going on. 
I was out walking the dog twice yesterday, and have been to the gym this morning for an hour and walked the dog, so off to a good start. I feel a bit tired today, but lots to do, laundry and get ready for a fish fry tonight with the neighbor's, we supply the deck and BBQ to cook on and they bring the food. I think I will make a simple peanut butter marshmallow dessert, it can be kept in the fridge till serving time.

I read an article on self limiting behaviors when trying to diet. Here is a list. They can be easily identified, but its changing them that is difficult, most of us have been doing these for the greater part of our lives. Try making your own list and then you can add to them, and seek out support to work to overcome them,is an easy first step.
  • Eating when bored
  • Eating when feeling down or for comfort
  • Eating large meals out of habit
  • Eating because otherwise it will go to waste.
  • Picking while you prepare meals and off your children's plates
  • Buying junk food
  • Accepting that a healthy diet is an individual's concern and not a family lifestyle
  • Eating all you can eat because you paid for it
  • Eating fast food because you have noting in the cupboards
  • Fast food because you couldn't be bothered to cook a proper meal
  • Avoiding exercise, even incidental exercise such as walking to work or up the stairs instead of the elevator
  • Buying inappropriate foods for the cupboards because they are on sale of just in case someone drops by and then eating them yourself
  • Skipping meals because of the false belief that eating less equates to weighting less
  • Eating inappropriate foods as a trade off for having exercised  
On Monday I will try to address each one of these and give you ways to cope better and make better choices.
