It's Getting Cooler

September 23, 2014
The days are getting shorter and cooler, it is nearly time to close up and head to Australia, we will have this weekend with the grand daughters and dinner with my nephews in Oshawa and their families.
Hubby is in the process of buying a boat for next summer, it seems to be all about what he wants these days. I wish he was reasonable sometimes and not being so spoiled, some day's I could scream at his Mom for spoiling him so much. It's a shame she didn't live long enough to see the real man he has become, he is very kind and follows direction well, can't say no and at times appears to be lazy, or deaf. lol I actually think its time to have his ears syringed out again lol.
The next few weeks are going to be very busy getting ready for the next chapter in our lives, just need to buy a vehicle, then we will be all set. We have had lots of help from friends in Australia helping make this all happen, I can't wait to see our new place and get it all set up, I know its allot of work and will be tiring, but I am looking forward to joining a gym again and getting back to the fitness side of my journey. It's been hard this summer with being so busy with moves and so much joint pain.
I have a Doctor in Australia all ready and will see my specialists the week following our move.
Today's Quote about change:
Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes.
Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
Lao Tzu

If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain.”
Maya Angelou

Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don't.”

Vegas baby

September 13, 2014
Well we just had a great 4 days in Vegas with some friends, it was great to catch up with Mal & Ginny, we all went to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Damn, wow can't believe they built that in the 30s.
The sights and sounds were spectacular, it is surely the city that never sleeps, were lucky in that our hotel didn't have a Casino attached so it was very and peaceful for sleeping. The heat was a bit exhausting with all the walking and in and out of air conditioned places.
It seemed we could never get enough sleep to make up for the time changes and long flights.
Not sure \i would go back, I had a melt down at the Grand Canyon, my husband wanted me to go around the edge of this cliff and I couldn't see the other side so I turned back and he was determined I was going to try, I was shaking with fear and I couldn't stop the flow of tears and said please don't make me do it. I said I will go back the way I came, he decided to come with me. I couldn't even stand to watch others get to close to the edge.
So back to reality and exercising, 4 weeks till we fly out to Australia, getting excited.

Summer is Drawing to a Close

September 2, 2014
Summer is drawing to a close and spring has begun in Australia. We are getting excited to be heading on our other journey, spending part of the year down under. We have sold our home in Sydney and bought a place up the coast. Its been allot of work, but in the end it will be worth it.
We had the grand daughter's for a few long weekends this summer and we had some pretty great times together, from crafts to history lessons and touring the local area. We even had a weekend with Aunt Stacey and Uncle Graham in Ottawa, we enjoyed some mini put and home made pizzas and a board game. Kids today play less and less board games so I try to keep a few around for the girls when they are here.
it will be a while before I see them all again for summer holidays and look forward to next summer. I hate good byes so we will just say see you next summer.
Today's Quote:
By all these lovely tokens September days are here, With summer's best of weather And autumn's best of cheer.
