March 30, 2013
I didn't get a chance to write yesterday, so figured I had better get at it today. I did go to the gym yesterday morning at 6:30 am, I am such a morning person, couldn't imagine going at 6 pm. I treated myself to a massage yesterday so after 45 minutes on the elliptical and walking the dog, I was off to Ottawa to see my beloved Kay at Il Paradiso Spa & Tanning, she has magic hands. I so needed this my lower back and right shoulder were in need of attention. I have re booked for an Herbal Wrap next Friday. I felt so good after that I came home and took the dog for another 1/2 hour walk along the river. It was very peaceful. I came back and did a few things around home and was in the middle of making a cup of Tea when the Chiropractors office called , darn I had forgotten my appointment.  I keep thinking that one day this chemo brain will go away, but, just when I think I am having a great day, I miss something or put something away and can't find it. I know I bought some candles last week, nice small spring scented ones, but can I find them, NO. I will keep looking and there will be logic as to where I have put them lol. I plan to go to the gym today right after lunch, I hope its not to busy then. I am trying to figure out how to add a recipe page to this,hmmmm I may have to ask someone. I have been figuring out the calories in the baking I do. A friend had given me a great recipe for muffins and when I figured out the calorie count it was 200 calories per muffin, so I will not be making these for a while the dates in them alone were 1000c. yikes.

Well today has been a busy one, the gym for over an hour this morning, I tried reading a magazine while I was on the elliptical and kept hitting the reset button. lol So I kept loosing track of how much time I had done, I do know I was there for almost and hour and a half.  I came home and walked the dog for 30 minutes. Showered and off to the Glebe Centre to volunteer. I weighed myself at the gym this morning and I was down 1 pound. So that's not to bad, I will have to try and do a bit longer at the gym from now on to try and speed things up a bit.

I enjoyed walking the dog this week, we did an extra 1.5 hours yesterday,. Today I had my usual shake for brekky and headed to The gym by 7 am, I did the usual 60 minutes on the elliptical and came home to walk the dog for another 30 minutes, got groceries, made a bunch of calls, ate a salad and headed to my art class to show off my new painting, i'll post a picture of it tomorrow.

I had an enjoyable weekend and Friday was our 10th anniversary, my husband Charles surprised me with a lovely pair of diamond earrings, I think he is still making up for forgetting it last year, but none the less he redeemed himself this year. We went out to dinner and I ordered a stir-fry requesting only a small amount of rice and extra veggies. It was very yummy. My daughter dropped her dog off for the week while they are in Paris on holiday's so I have been walking him regularly, Sunday I did a total of 1.5 hours, so that was a bit of extra exercise for me, I found walking in the spring snow like walking on the beach. Today I had a nice protein shake and then headed to the gym by 7am I woke with a terrible headache in the middle of the night and still had it when I got up, so I managed to do 40 minutes this morning and some of it at a resistance of 4.
I came home and walked the dog for 30 more minutes. I have just taken a break from a new painting, I am trying to do a freestyle landscape, a first for me.

I enjoyed a nice protein shake for breakfast today and added some ground flax seed and chia seeds with about 5 fresh strawberries in it. It was yummy. I did 50 minutes at the gym this morning on the elliptical machine again, we are becoming fast friends.  I may try to get to the gym on Sunday for a bit, Ken says noon is a good time because the testosterone comes in at 3, I'll try to avoid them lol. Still not feeling quite myself so best not to push it to much and get sick or something. I may try to work on my painting this afternoon for some relax time. I am pretty proud of myself, I have made it another week, yippeeeee.

Up early and at the gym before 7, I have way to much to do today so figured I had better start it at the gym, I'm not really into it today, I have a bit of joint pain, my left hip is aching and so is my knee and hands, so I will do what I can, I managed to do 50 minutes on the elliptical today mostly at a resistance of 3, but just couldn't do anymore. I came home and hopped in the shower and had a little cry, not feeling the best today, my shoulder kept me awake a bit last nite so will talk to my surgeon about it today when I see her at 9 am, 8 months of this is enough, there has to be something wrong in there, the chiro says its tendonitis and not to reach for anything, easier said than done when your right handed. Hopefully she will send me for a scan. Then I have a chiro apt at 2;30 pm then dentist at 4pm. I must do some shopping between apts.

I decided to try an egg white omelet today for breakfast, yesterday afternoon I cut up my veggies, I found some red peppers in the freezer from the fall and decided to put one in, well now I didn't realize it was a hot pepper, thank you Stacey and Graham for giving me them last fall, the first bite was was the hottest the rest got better from there lol. It was very enjoyable and I look forward to cooking up another one this week as I cut up enough veggies for 2. I did an hour at the gym this morning all elliptical again and all at a resistance of 3. Starting to feel empowered. Hoping for a better number next week on the scales. Today's quote is
